Do you find that you have “Too much month left at the end of your money?” Or that paying your bills is always a struggle? Perhaps you want to save more but you never seem able. Or maybe just the daily worry of where your money goes each month is causing anxiety. With so much to take care of, things can feel out of control very quickly.
The Greater Than Zero Project is offering free training in personal money management – understanding what ‘managing money’ means, learning methods that you can apply to manage money and planning and financing for significant expenditures.
The course is ideal for anyone who needs that extra bit of help in understanding how to manage their money effectively. It’s great for those who are saving up for a big life event, or for people who simply need a helping hand controlling how they spend their money, and how they can improve their finances.

The ‘Greater Than Zero’ project is a new project to support individuals in developing their numeracy skills – around one in five adults in the UK lack numeracy skills, without which they find it difficult to budget; they feel stressed and insecure about money regardless of their income, and they struggle to overcome barriers to progression in work.
Courses are undertaken via classroom delivery. Eligibility criteria apply – open to residents in the unitary authority of Caerphilly aged 19+.
