Ty Rhosyn – Housing Support Services is a programme of assistance that identifies and addresses homelessness in rural Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. It aims to assist vulnerable individuals from threats of homelessness or those in crisis as a result of homelessness. The service is for those experiencing domestic abuse.
The service aims to reduce homelessness or those at risk of homelessness through a period of support through:-
- Early intervention to prevent eviction.
- Advice, information and housing guidance.
- Support with tenancy, private rent, social housing, etc
- Advocacy
- Specialist support of Homelessness Prevention Officer.
- Access to a specialist housing/referral service in partnership with specialist housing agencies and local authorities.
- Mediation between tenants and landlords and within families (2025)
- Access to a tenancy support scheme (2025/2026)
What can we help with?
- Advice including support with Budgeting, Bene-fits, etc.
- Housing related support
- Safety Planning / Target Hardening
- Support with engaging with other agencies / educational/ employability courses
- Emotional Support / empowerment and confidence building
How long is the period of support for?
Service users will be supported for 6-12 weeks.
Those needing additional support can be referred to further internal and external services including Food Bank and Charity Shop, Community Floating Support, Outreach Support, Children and Young People’s Services, Educational Training, Volunteering, Specialist Support for Male Victims etc.
How will my support be facilitated?
Support can be accessed during opening hours Monday—Friday from 9.00 AM—4.30 PM.
Appointments can be; face to face, over the phone or online. Support is also available as a walk in service in local authority buildings such as the HWB in Llanelli, Carmarthen and Ammanford and selected buildings in Ceredigion.
