The DASH Project supports children who have witnessed or experienced domestic abuse in the home environment. The support comprises one-to-one support or peer group support. All children enter the program at different levels of need and our DASH program aims to meet them at this level. DASH is child-led but can also be directive enabling children to develop healthy emotion regulation. This intervention gives children the tools to able to cope with their experiences of abuse. Children are given the opportunity to process their feelings with the help of a skilled listener who can offer empathic and non-judgmental support.
You can refer your children to the project, they can self-refer or we can accept referrals from outside agencies.
