The P.E.E.S.E Project is an exciting new initiative for people aged 25+, living in the unitary authority of Caerphilly and Carmarthenshire.
The project has been supported by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government, to help people to develop skills and provide support into work, volunteering and/or further learning.
Specifically, the P.E.E.S.E Project will
- provide Agored Cymru accredited Level 1 and Level 2 Awards across a wide range of subject areas such as Team Working, Safeguarding, Career Planning, First Aid, Volunteering and Community Engagement, IT, Entrepreneurship, Glass Painting, Aromatherapy, Domestic Abuse Awareness Training, Mindfulness, Pottery, Jewellery Making, Photography, Play Work and more
- improve essentials skills (including communication skills)
- undertake job search and develop employability skills
- provide opportunities for paid placement opportunities – 16hrs/ week at £7.83/ hr for 16 or 26 weeks. Placements are available in a wide range of sectors (admin, retail, charities etc., ). Travel and lunch will be paid for up to 30 days before the first monthly wage.
The ‘P.E.E.S.E Project welcomes participants who are long-term unemployed or economically inactive; living in the unitary authority of Caerphilly and Carmarthenshire; aged 25+; not on the DWP’s Work Programme; not in full time or part time education.
