Four years ago, at a team meeting, it was agreed that Threshold needed to find a way of not only offering support and safety to women but also a way of offering them opportunities to turn their lives around. We were seeing more and more women coming back to Threshold – some with a different alleged perpetrator, some who had been in refuge as children but were now victims/survivors requiring support, and others looking for meaningful training opportunities to help them move forward with their lives.
In 2013 we launched the educational arm of Threshold DAS. Threshold DAS are very fortunate that we currently hold a number of Educational and Employability contracts that support those who are unemployed and economically inactive, however, we found that there were many women who wanted to access our courses who were ineligible, because they were working or on a zero hour contract.
And so LIMITLESS was born…
LIMITLESS was launched in May 2019 after a seven month mobilisation period. LIMITLESS courses started on 1st May 2019. Please email in the first instance to LIMITLESS@Threshold-Das.org.uk if you are interested in joining our mailing list or would like further details. See Accredited courses section of the web page.
LIMITLESS is an educational programme of support funded by the Welsh European Social Fund under Priority 2, Skills for Growth Wales: Specific Objective 4
Women aged 18 and over, who are working, or on a zero hour contract are eligible. Women have to be living or working in Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Caerphilly, Torfaen or Blaenau Gwent.
